Baptisms

We are delighted to baptise those who have come to faith in Jesus Christ. For adults this may be linked to the service of confirmation.

Baptism of children usually takes place at Worship for Everyone which happens on the first Sunday of the month. If you are not a regular member of the church we encourage you to begin that commitment, as one of the baptism promises is to teach your child to be faithful in public worship.

If you wish to explore baptism please give your details to the Church Office – Church Office . We will arrange for a member of our clergy to call round to see you in your own home, go through the responsibilities with you and help you to decide what you want.

If baptism turns out not to be appropriate then a service of thanksgiving for the birth of a child is a lovely alternative. Here gratitude can be expressed to God for the arrival of a new life but no commitments are made about future faith or Christian upbringing.

There is no charge for baptism or thanksgiving.
